What is TwitchCon?
Simply put, it’s any Twitch fan’s dream weekend. If you’ve never heard of this ridiculously amazing event, allow me to explain everything you need to know about TwitchCon and why you should attend.
What is TwitchCon and Why Should I Go?
Imagine an entire weekend filled with meeting tons of enthusiastic Twitch fans, watching incredibly engaging stage shows, participating in hands-on demos of the latest games, and hearing and learning from popular Twitch streamers. If all of that sounds amazing to you, you should know that’s just a little of what TwitchCon has to offer.
TwitchCon is a huge convention where thousands of enthusiastic Twitch community members meet to celebrate the thrilling culture of video game streaming. It incorporates numerous different events, from gaming tournaments to stream workshops, and brings together streamers, gamers, audiences, developers, and everything in between. As mentioned before, it’s basically any Twitch fan’s ultimate experience.

In 2015, the first TwitchCon was held in San Francisco with an estimated amount of 20,000 people in attendance. The next TwitchCon held in Los Angeles two years later more than doubled this amount, with around 50,000 people attending. If you’re attending this year’s convention, get ready, because with an expected growth rate of 25%, this year’s TwitchCon 2018 event is sure to be the best (and biggest) one yet.
