RUST[edit]

RUST
Rust1.png Rust’s world is harsh. The environment is not kind. Bears and wolves will chase and kill you. Falling from a height will kill you. Being exposed to radiation for an extended period will kill you. Starving will kill you. Being cold will kill you. Other players can find you, kill you, and take your stuff. Fortunately for you, you can kill others and take their stuff. Or maybe you can make friends and help each other survive, using the game’s building tools to create a safe haven.

7 Days To Die[edit]

7 Days To Die
7days2die.jpg In the near future where the a third world war leaves the Earth in ruins but the worst was yet to come. Nobody knows for sure if it was the radiation, the biochemical weapons or an act of god but an unknown virus soon transforms the surviving humans into an army of the animated dead, acting as a single-minded being.

You play a survivor trapped in the savage zombie infested world of Navezgane County Arizona one of the last true Eden’s on Earth. Ironically Navezgane means “Killer of Monsters” to the Apache who have inhabited the land for centuries, and that’s pretty much what you’ll do as you fight to survive and search for the truth behind what really happened.

ARK: SurvivalEvolved[edit]

Ark: Survival-Evolved
Ark-Survival-Evolved-Scorched-Earth.jpg Ark: Survival Evolved is an action-adventure survival game set in an open world environment that uses a first-person perspective, with the ability to use a third-person perspective in some instances. To survive, players must establish a base, with a fire and weapons; additional activities, such as taming and feeding dinosaurs, require more resources. The game’s world, known as the “Ark”, is approximately 48 km2 (19 sq mi) in size there is approximately 36 km2 (14 sq mi) of land with 12 km2 (4.6 sq mi) of ocean.

To build a base, players must gain structure components—such as floors, doors and windows built with the resources littered throughout the world—which are earned as they progress and gain levels. These components can be crafted and placed in the world. Players can create any structure, as long as they have the logistics and resources; the structural integrity of the building is compromised when the pillars and foundations are destroyed. Creating structures out of metal make them the most durable; only titanosaurs and explosives can damage metal structures. Players can also craft items in the game, such as weapons, by collecting the resources and technology required for crafting. In addition, players can craft and attach accessories to their weapons, such as a scope or flashlight for a pistol or machine gun. Should players take damage, their health meter will gradually regenerate if they have consumed the necessary food, or if they craft items that regenerate the health meter at a faster pace.

There are sixty species of dinosaurs in the game. Dinosaurs in the game can be tamed by feeding them food after they have been rendered unconscious, or by using kibble designed especially for each species. Once a dinosaur is tamed, players can utilize the dinosaur’s abilities, such as flight or fast underwater movement, as well as its statistics, such as speed, health and damage. When riding atop certain creatures, players can use their weapons. With the larger dinosaurs, other players can ride on the side with full control of their own weapons. They can also be used to carry items, and players can issue offensive and defensive commands to them; for example, a pack of Utahraptors can be assigned to defend the base, or a group of Triceratops can be ordered to attack an enemy’s base. The game also features various other animals, such as the dodo, saber-toothed cat, woolly mammoth, Meganeura, Titanomyrma, and Doedicurus. Every creature in the game has living ecosystems and predator hierarchies.

Empyrion: Galactic Survival[edit]

Empyrion: Galactic Survival
Empyrion-Galactic-Survival.jpg Players crash land on an alien planet, where they must survive a hostile environment. Their escape pod includes a variety of common resources, though they need to forage to find rarer materials. Using the pod’s constructor, they can build a variety of objects, including bases, ground vehicles, and spaceships. In multiplayer, the planets are persistent worlds, and players can interact with each other, including trading and player versus player combat.

Garry's Mod[edit]

Garry's Mod
Garrys-mod.jpg Although Garry’s Mod is listed as a full game, the base game mode ‘sandbox’ has no set objectives and instead gives the player the freedom to manipulate rag dolls or props such as furniture, shipping containers and dumpsters.

Props and ragdolls can be selected and placed into the sandbox from any installed Source engine game or from community created collections, such as PHX3 for props and Civil Protection model packs for ragdolls. An important tool offered to the player, the Physics Gun allows for props and ragdolls to be picked up, rotated, and frozen in place. Another important implement, the Tool Gun is a multi-purpose tool for performing various tasks, such as constraining props together, creating interactive buttons, and creating controllable winches and wheels. It can also be used to change the facial expression and pose the digits of a ragdoll. The Tool Gun can also be used to control and use add-ons created by the community, which can be only accessed through the Steam Workshop.

The game uses the Source engine’s modified version of the Havok Physics Engine, which allows players to build contraptions that follow the laws of physics, allowing for very real simulations of structures and experiments.

Killing Floor 2[edit]

Killing Floor 2
Killing-Floor-2.png Killing Floor 2 is a first-person shooter video game, that can be played alone or cooperatively with up to six players. The game is based on events from Killing Floor, in which a deadly outbreak from the bio-technology firm Horzine created Zeds (zombie-like creatures) that rapidly spread across Europe, paralyzing the response from the European Union. Within Killing Floor 2, taking place a month after the first game, the outbreak has spread beyond Europe, causing governments to collapse and communication systems to fail.

Game play consists of players fighting through waves against Zeds. As waves pass, the enemy count, which scales with the number of players in the game, will increase and different enemy types are introduced with the final wave culminating in a boss fight. The boss character will be determined randomly upon the start of the last wave, with each boss having different strategies for defeating it. Players are equipped with melee weapons and firearms, a healing syringe, and a welder used to block passages. Random weapons, ammo, and armor can be found by exploring the level, though players have a limited amount of weight they can carry.

Space Engineers[edit]

Space Engineers Currently not being offered!!
Space engineers.png Gameplay of Space Engineers begins with the player selecting or joining a world with specific settings, such as the number of asteroids and the available starting equipment. When creating or editing a world, several advanced options are available to change how the player will interact with the world, and how the worlds will appear. This includes changing the speed with which several tools and machines will work, and the size of the player’s inventory. While loading a world, a screen is visible for a while where one of many quotations concerning space, science, and engineering is visible in the center of the screen. There is a collection of quotes from scientists such as Isaac Newton, Galileo Galilei, Albert Einstein, as well as from Arthur C. Clarke’s three laws. Once in-game, the player is given control of a single astronaut, which is referred to as a Space Engineer. The player can build a station, large ship, or small ship. Construction begins by choosing any random block which will appear in front of the engineer and can be spawned in to create a new ship with that block used as the starting point for the rest of the structure. Blocks may be structural, functional, interactive, or aesthetic, and may fall into more than one category. Blocks also take up varying amounts of space. In addition to placing blocks, the player can also use tools and weapons. The most important blocks, the armor blocks which make up most of the structure, can be damaged and deformed through collisions or by weapon impacts. Some blocks have attached keypads, which can be used to view and manipulate the status of other specific blocks attached to the structure. To be functionally connected however, and to transport materials, conveyors must be used to connect the desired machines. Functional blocks require power, which can be provided by solar panels or nuclear reactors attached to the same structure. While reactors must be supplied with uranium, and produce large amounts of power while active, solar panels will continually produce a low output of power when there is line-of-sight to the sun. Once being produced, power is automatically distributed throughout the entire structure and can also be stored in batteries.
